EFO: Misperf With Printing Co. EFO: There are some’vermillion’ lines at the bottom of the stamp. At first glance I thought they were part of a normal’Misperf’d stamp , that were cutting into another stamp, but upon close observation I noticed that this couldn’t be. After some research I found out that the’vermillion’ lines are from the top of the’Bank Note Company’s’ wording in the selvage. The lines are from the top of the’Bank Note’s’ wording, which reads’ PRINTED BY THE’. To have the perforation holes to cut into the printing company’s name in the selvage could only occur on about 3 to 4 stamps per sheet 3-4/50. Considering all of the stamps printed for this issue and taking into account for lost, destroyed & number of misperf’s that could have occurred and those stamps that could have this type of misperf, it would make this stamp Scarce!
