Note: This listing is for information purposes only. To make buyers aware that stamps with’ RED LINES’ or other lines GREEN , BLUE , BROWN , YELLOW , ORANGE , etc. I know this may be hard to believe, but if you are skeptical take a RED Line stamp to any stamp dealer and he will tell you the same thing. Note:’ Red Lines or Red Cutting/Guide Lines’ were on about 10 – 20% of the stamps on this stamp issue and on all other issues with these types of lines. Therefore, there should be about 1 to 3 billion stamps with’ Red Lines or Red Cutting/Guide Lines’. NOTE: Guide Lines – Horizontal or vertical colored lines between the stamps, extending wholly or partially across the sheet. They serve as guides for the operators of perforating machines or to indicate the point of separation of the sheet (of 400 stamps) into panes (of 4 sheets). A block of stamps divided by any of the guide lines is known as a “line block” or guide line block. ” The block of stamps from the exact center of the sheet, showing the crossed guide lines, is a “center line block.
