1860s Iuka Miss confederate stampless patriotic cover damaged y5231
Rare civil war CONFEDERATE patriotic with flag; stampless use from Iuka Miss with sans-serif paid and manuscript 10, sent to Howell Cobb at Richmond. Damage at top into flag which impacts a couple stars at top and makes it hard to determine specifically what variety it is, but all confederate flag patriotics are uncommon (and pricey). 1861 pencil date on back, which is consistent with stampless use. A worthy restoration candidate. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. See additional auctions under IDs paperhistory and budgetcoverbox. Please consider joining the American Philatelic Society!
