Offered – Antique postal cover with a 5 cent Franklin stamp from 1847. The envelope is addressed to Oliver Phelps, Esquire of Canandaigua, NY and was posted from West Bloomfield, NY. The cover is sealed in a handsome modern leather book for safe keeping. Age – 1847, protective book is modern. Condition – Very good, light wear, the cover is inside of a sealed archival page, I have not had the cover out of the page to inspect the back side. The cover was photographed under plastic.
