Good morning, First, thank you for the kind words. I’m glad you asked me because it need a bit of explanation. The key is to have a professional leather worker or shoe repair person that can make custom belts do the work. It is easy, as you suggest to change the Conchos onto another belt. They come off with a little coaxing as they slide off and onto a different belt. To do it right, the new belt should be the specific thickness and width to work with the slightly bendable copper backing straps. That does not look right, and often the conchos will shift on the belt. I don’t know where you live, but I bet you must have somebody locally that would do this for you. A number of my customers over the years have chosen this route. BTW, most of the concho belts that I trade and the one that I have set up have black leather. It just seems to be the most versitile and popular color. The most important thing is getting the right Conchos, the belt is relatively incidental in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by and asking.
