A very nice Dec 4, 1860s, cover from Rockville, CT to attorney in Hartford, CT incorporating a vibrant blue vertical strip of 3 of Scott #63 (1861-62). Nice postmark and cancellations. A wonderful addition to any 19th Century Postal History Collection. I have actively collected stamps and related philatelic materials since 1977. I fondly remember going with my uncle in the 1970s to the Rexall Drugstore where the Postmaster would show me many current and older issues in the little Post Office (the “Stamp Cage”) adjacent to the pharmacy counter while my uncle talked with his friend the pharmacist.
