Of Providence, Rhode Island, who specialized in the fine quality burnishing of the gilt or gold filled finish. This particular locket is 12k gold filled and has a gilt metal hasp and bale. This double locket features an Acanthus leaf decoration to the front face and a multifaceted paste stone. The rear face is plain burnished gold metal. The fitted interior is complete with the original celluloid glazing and fitting rings. It has an excellent hinge and snap clasp. The locket is marked W&H co. It weighs 10.75 grams. Measures 1.5” in diameter and is 0.25” in width when closed. The internal diameters are 1.49′. This item is in excellent condition antique condition 1/2. All of the elements are in excellent order but the exterior metal work shows age related wear, but is not dented only slightly marked to the rear face. The stone is undamaged. The marks are visible.
